COP19: Warsaw Climate Change Conference

The conference was a key meeting which link the whole international climate negotiation procession. In 2012, Doha climate conference closed the negotiations about the Kyoto Protocol and the Bali Road Map, while launched the negotiations under ADP framework. Several consensus and resolutions that have taken place since the Bali Conference (COP13) in 2007 have not been specifically implemented, making climate negotiations inefficient. At the same time, a number of important issues were in urgent need of progress, especially the identification of many new mechanisms, institutions and processes that would paved the way for the formation of a new climate agreement before the Paris conference in 2015. GHUB was at the scene to observe whether the Warsaw Conference would achieve a smooth transition and ensure the effective implementation of those climate commitments.
