As nations are building back from the COVID-19 impacts, we worked with partner organizations to explore and advocate for pathways of building beyond better, to achieve green, low-carbon, and resilient recovery . This webinar was held before the NPC and CPPCC sessions. The highlights of the discussion have been submitted to Chinese government decision-makers by partner organizations as an internal reference for formulating green recovery plans.

The second round of Bonn Climate Talks under UNFCCC in 2015 were held from 1 to 11 June 2015. Negotiators discussed a 90-page draft made in Geneva and simplified it to a negotiating text for Paris Conference. Lina Li, the Climate Policy Researchers of GHUB, followed the progress in Bonn, and answered the reporter’s three key questions based on her observation and analysis.

“Building an Equitable Green Economy” is a stock-take of practical experiences and an exploration of global opportunities. We try to define the “green economy” as a tool to help promote sustainable development which is not yet specifically proposed. Our approach is also a fundamental practice, and we need to define an equitable green economy by linking the opportunities offered by the global context (such as the 1992 Rio Principles) and the practical implications of a fair transition to sustainable development. In the process, we will continue to identify a “flexible” definition to explain “equitable” and seek implementation of the program.
