Hongyu leads the work on climate strategic communications, coordinates research and cross-sectoral dialogues of climate-related issues, and tracks the international climate governance process, to promote climate-compatible policy-making and implementation. Starting as a junior editor of China Climate Wire in 2013, she has been promoting discussions on the co-benefits of climate action and energy transition. She has gained experiences on corporate internal communications and program coordination in a multinational telecommunications company and local NGO. She received her MA degree in English and American Literatures from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
